Discipline Progression- Beau Chene High School

Classroom:  1^st offense- Verbal Warning

                     2^nd offense- Student-Teacher Conference

                     3^rd offense- Contact Parent

                     4^th offense- Referral

 

Students will be allowed only two detentions for the entire school year, on the next referral suspension begins.

1^st Referral- Detention (1 day)

2^nd Referral- Detention (2 days)

3^rd Referral- Suspension (1 day)

4^th Referral- Suspension (2 days)

5^th Referral- Suspension (3 days)

6^th Referral- Expulsion Recommendation

 

** Any student that does not attend an assigned detention will receive a 3 day out of school suspension.It is the responsibility of the student to meet with an administrator to arrange to make up missed detention when absent on detention.

 

Fighting:            1^st Offense- Automatic 9 day Suspension

                           2^nd Offense- Expulsion Recommendation

 

Bullying:           1^st Offense- Review of Bullying Policy and warning to student with submission of

                                             state required bullying form.

                           2^nd Offense- Suspension (3 days)

                           3^rd Offense- Suspension (9 days)

                           4^th Offense- Expulsion Recommendation

 

Possession of Smoking Tobacco or other substances is immediate suspension for (3) days or more.

Possession of illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia- Expulsion Recommendation

Any act of defiant behavior can result in suspension or expulsion if deemed necessary.

**I.D. and Dress Code referrals are not considered in the discipline progression.

I.D. and Dress Code Referralsare made on the 2^nd infraction and on every infraction thereafter.
