Civics

Civics is the study of the rights and duties of citizens. As a citizen or resident of the U.S it is our responsibility to know what is going on so that we can make informed decisions. In studying the past; our government, leaders, the economy, we can learn about changes that have occurred so in the future so we can make necessary changes for the advancement of everyone. Remember, we live in the present, plan for the future but learn from the past. I challenge you throughout the semester to really dig deep into the past and use the knowledge from this course to take an active role in the present. Knowing what is going on in your community, state or nation will help you stay informed so you may make educated decisions outside of this classroom.
