CLASSROOM PROCEDURES AND ROUTINES

Entering the Classroom
Line up at classroom outside door with one shoulder against the wall and no talking.  Walk into the classroom without talking, stand up behind your chair, and wait until I say, "you may be seated".  End of class dismissal
The bell does not dismiss you.  I will dismiss you.  The bell is a reminder for me that class has ended.
Tardy
You must report to the office if you arrive after the bell morning bell has rung.  Parents must check you in.
Absent
Students are responsible for getting materials missed on an excused absence.  Students should check the absent folder for materials missed.  __3__ days are given to make up work for excused absences only.  Remember, the excuse must be bought in within ___3__ days.  Excuses accept are those from the doctor's office, the health center, and/or an obituary.  No home excuses are accepted. 
Pencil sharpening
Pencils must be sharpened in homeroom or afternoon class before going home.  No other time will be allowed at the pencil sharpener.  If you have a sharpener at home, please sharpen pencils for the next day of school.
Class participation
I will call on students using popsicle sticks in which I will pull at random.  Otherwise, students should raise his/her hand and wait to be called on.
Indicating whether you understand or not
During instruction, I will ask repeatedly if anyone needs something to be re-explained.  If a student feels he/she does not understand something, it is at that time he/she should raise their hand and let me know.
Asking a question
Please raise hand until called on.  Question must be appropriate to time and schedule.
Going to the restroom
Students must sign out/sign in on the log, and must have a hall pass.
Schedule of the day
Schedule will be posted in the classroom and a hand out will be given to all students.
School announcements on the intercom or the telephone
All work must stop, students should listen, and when complete return to work.
