Homework Challenges

*use optional homework pages sent home

• Write the beginning letter sound under pictures, even if it is not the focus letter
• Try to write the word under pictures (you can assist in sounding out but do not provide the proper spelling until they have at least tried on their own, I like seeing what sounds they are able to hear themselves)
• On the back draw more pictures with the beginning focus letter, try to label them
• On the back create a list of words with the same beginning sound as the focus letter
• On the back make up sentences using sight words and phonetic spelling
