Art I-Information and supply list

Welcome to art class!  This is where you will learn the basics of art and how to see the world differently.

You will be able to:

*  define and demonstrate the Elements of Art

*  illustrate an understanding and mastery of various media, tools, and techniques

*  combine textures in the creation of a three-dimensional form

*  create the illusion of depth on a two-dimensional surface using overlapping forms

*  learn about various aspects of art history including the areas of the world from which the artists came, as well as what was happening in the world around them, influencing their work



In addition to basic drawing, we will also have projects including collage, papier mache, and sculpture.


Supplies needed:

  spiral sketchbook 11x14
  package of # 2 pencils
  package of black sharpies (regular or fine point)
  two rolls of paper towels 

  box of kleenex 

  pack of colored pencils

 handheld pencil sharpener

 pink pearl eraser

2 white poster boards
