ABOUT ME

I am happy to be teaching at Neville High where I graduated "many moons ago" in 1983.  It's refreshing to know that some of the same teachers who taught me are still at Neville, and as expected, they continue to inspire me.
I have taught in the Monroe City School system for 33 years. I taught at Lee Jr. High from 1990-2000, and this year marks my 23rd year at Neville High School.  Currently, I am teaching English III for 11th graders here at my beloved NHS home.
I have one son who also graduated from Neville in 2016.  He has a career here in Monroe that he first encountered here in Neville in technical/trade classes and later developed after his Freshman year at LSU. He has Neville to thank for introducing him to his love for Welding.

My hobbies include photography/scrapbooking, reading, cooking, traveling, playing scrabble, watching SEC and Neville football, playing games and dining with friends, and park hopping from one football or baseball event to the next.  I am a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where I first participated in MYF as a sixth grader and continued until my senior year of high school. St. Paul's is where I married and eventually saw my son christened and later confirmed in the Methodist church.

Boy, how time has flown! It all seems like yesterday.
