Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

As a new objective for the school year, the Art department will be requiring students to keep a sketchbook for weekly homework assignments.

 

The homework will be kept in a sketchbook. This sketchbook can be a drawing pad, which contains white construction paper.

*If a drawing pad is being purchased please keep 9in x 12in or smaller.

 

A homework worksheet will be given on a monthly basis. There will be four assignsments per month, one per week. These assignments will require your child to practice various art skills, elements, and principles. The homework will be reviewed by the Art teacher on a specific due date. Assignments will be given in the form of a worksheet that will be glued into the sketchbook. The homework will have a parent signature section to be signed and returned.

 

The homework will count in your child’s overall grade.
