About the Teacher 

    Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Keriann Jenkins. I am delighted to have the opportunity to teach your child this year. I will do my best to provide your child with a strong academic background as well as a positive learning environment. The things your child learns this year will mold the rest of their lives. By working together, we can ensure that this year is as wonderful as possible!

     I am a graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University with my Bachelor s Degree in Elementary Education. I  have a Master s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I also have my certification to be an administrator.  This will be my eighteeth year to teach. My first year I taught at a private school in Central, I taught second grade at North Live Oak Elementary while working on my Masters with the Teacher Scholar Program at SLU.  I taught fifteen years at Gray's Creek Elementary in second grade and first grade.  This will be my first year at Freshwater Elementary.  I am excited to begin this journey as a Tiger in third grade.

    I am married to a wonderful man. We have two wonderful boys.  Slade is fourteen years old and Keller is ten.  We also have two schnauzers named Kooper and Kannon and a silver lab named Sugar. My favorite things to do are to spend time with my husband and our children.  We love LSU baseball and both of our boys play tournament ball so, if I am not at school, you can usually find me at the ball park :).
