The Grasshoppers have been a tradition at Kennesaw since 2007. Last year
was our first year not to have a team due to Covid restrictions.
We are hoping to get a team together this year.

The 2018-2019 Kennesaw Grasshoppers
Ms. Adams and Ms. Finnegan are
very excited about this year.
Practices are on Mondays from 2:20-3:15.
We performed at KES and Christmas at Piedmont in December.
We will be performing at the KSU basketball game halftime show
on February 9th at 4:30,
at the KBA luncheon in March,
at the PE Show for PTA on April 11th,
at the Big Shanty Festival and Parade on April 13th,
and at Opening Ceremonies for Field Day on April 22nd.
We will also perform at the Garden Gala Event at
Big Shanty Intermediate School.
The 2017-2018 Kennesaw Grasshoppers
The Grasshoppers have a great year.
We performed at the KSU basketball game halftime show.
We performed at the P.E. Show for PTA and the KBA luncheon.
The weekend of April 21st we performed at the Big Shanty Festival in
downtown Kennesaw. We were in the parade at 9:30 then performed on the
Depot Stage at 11:30.
Our final performances were on April 23rd for Field Day Opening Ceremonies and
at Big Shanty Intermediate's Garden Gala event on May 3rd at 6:30pm.
The 2016-2017 Kennesaw Grasshoppers
Our 2017-2018 Grasshopper Team started in the fall.
Practices are on Mondays from 2:20-3:15 every Monday
we are in school.
Our first performance was scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2017
at 12:30 at Christmas at Piedmont.
This event took place at Piedmont Baptist Church in Marietta.
Sadly, the snow caused the event to be canceled.
Our next performance was at the KSU basketball game halftime show
on Wednesday, January 24th at 7:00pm.
Our performance on February 1st was at the P.E. Show for PTA.
The kids did a great job with their routine, partner, and long rope skills.
We are scheduled to perform at the KBA luncheon in March and at the
Kennesaw Big Shanty Festival in April.
The final performance was at KES for Opening Ceremonies
for Field Days.
What a great group of kids. It was a fun year!

The Kennesaw Grasshoppers Jump Rope Team has gone great.
This year the team consists of 23 members.
These kids were chosen to be on the team based on their jump rope skills
(individual and partner), behavior, and good character.
Our performances are:
Christmas at Piedmont in December,
halftime at the KSU basketball game in January,
the P.E. Show in February,
the Kennesaw Business Luncheon in March,
at the Kennesaw-Big Shanty parade in April,
and at Opening Ceremonies for Field Days in April.
The Grasshoppers are in the Kennesaw Big Shanty Festival parade.
These kids are very talented and fun to watch perform. Our Grasshopper Team from 2010 is pictured above. We placed second in the Big Shanty Parade and were honored by the Kennesaw Business Association with the Chandler Award.
