Mrs. Bass’ Classroom Rules, Procedures, and Consequences

Rules

  1. Be respectful to everyone and use kind words.
  2. Raise your hand, wait until given permission to speak or leave your seat.
  3. Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
  4. Be prepared at all times.
  5. No food, gum, or beverages allowed in the classroom.

 

Procedures

  1.  Assigned Seats
    1. You are always expected to sit in your assigned seat.
  2. Entering and Exiting the Classroom
    1. Enter the classroom quietly, sit in your assigned seat, and write homework and begin bell assignment.
    2. Exit the classroom by rows when the teacher dismisses you. 
  3. Announcements
    1. You should be quiet when someone is using the intercom system.
  4. Restrooms
    1. You may use your restroom pass with teacher permission.  (There will be times that you will not be allowed even if you have a pass.)
  5. Pencil sharpener, stapler, and hole punch
    1. These items are located in the front of the class and can be accessed by the student when needed.
  6. Trash
    1. Trash should be thrown away at the beginning of class or as you leave class.
  7. Turning in Papers
    1. All papers should have your name (first and last), date, and class period in the upper right hand corner. 
    2. All papers should have a title centered on the first line.
    3. All work must be turned on time.  Late work will not be accepted.

 

Consequences

  1. Verbal Warning 1 (Name in teacher book with brief description of inappropriate behavior)
  2. Intervention 1 {Visit “Albert’s Thinking Corner” and complete assignment} (1st check by name with brief description of inappropriate behavior)
  3. Intervention 2 {Lunch Detention assigned} (2nd  check by name with brief description of inappropriate behavior)
  4. Intervention 3 {Meet with Behavioral Interventionist} (3rd  check by name with brief description of inappropriate behavior)
  5. Intervention 4 {Stepped on Parental Intervention Plan} (4th  check by name with brief description of inappropriate behavior)

 

NOTE:  In the case of a serious infraction an automatic office referral will be written.

 

Consequences will start over daily.
