2nd Grade Homework Information
Students are responsible for placing their homework in their homework folders each night. Homework notes posted on this website can be used as a reference for daily, weekly, and long-term assignments. Keep in mind that assignments on this website are subject to change. Teachers will attempt to update Homework notes on a daily basis; however, under certain circumstances this is not always possible. Therefore, it is imperative that students bring their homework folders and agendas home each day. Homework, tests, and quizzes will be written down in the agenda.
Students should spend approximately 15-20 minutes (2nd grade) on homework each evening. If your child is consistently spending more than 30 minutes on homework each night, please contact me.

At the beginning of each month your child will glue a new speller's choice menu into the spelling/word study notebook. Every Monday new words will be introduced and written into the agenda. The homework will be as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night choose one activity from the speller’s choice menu in the spelling/word study notebook. Please look for announcements of Fundations Unit Tests in the agenda and weekly letters sent home.
Math homework will be given Monday-Thursday nights. The homework will reinforce the daily math lesson. It will be in the form of a workbook page which is double-sided or a worksheet.
Reading Logs-Please read and initial your child's reading log Monday-Thursday. Please aim to read 10 minutes each night. Book shopping will take place every Monday and reading logs will run from Monday-Thursday. Please keep the reading log in your child's homework folder.
