Sample Rubrics Used to Assess Do Now Quiz Assignments and Project Designs
**Rubrics may be altered based upon the nature of the assignment given. Whenever a rubric is changed the students will receive a copy and it will be posted online:
Many of the Do Now assignments are based upon the studies of the famous artist and educator Dr. Betty Edwards, who became famous for her right brain drawing exercises. Thru her studies Dr. Edwards determined how people draw from the different hemispheres in their brain to complete tasks. People who are considered “Left – Brained” or “L-mode” are more verbal, analytic, sequential mode of thinking. People who are considered more “Right- Brained” or “R-mode” are more visual, perceptual, and global. If you’re lucky you might have a balance of both!
