My name is Heather Crisostomo. I have been a teacher at Broad Street School for 20 years and this is my 21st year in this district. This is my 23rd year teaching variously abled children. In those years, I have had many neurodiverse children with beautiful souls. I love teaching children with various learning differences. Our world is so unique and filled with many differences. Everyone is special and gifted in their own way. It is very rewarding and fulfilling to help children discover where they are gifted and see them soar with confidence. The greatest joy is seeing the progress that children have made in a year.

Here is a small glimpse into my life outside of the classroom. I like to travel. In the past several years, I have traveled to St. Martin, Anguilla, Panama, Kentucky, Montana, Utah, Idaho, Spain, France, Andorra, and even Iceland. Photography is a big part of my life outside of the classroom. I am not a professional photographer, but I love to take photos of the places I travel to. Nature photography is my passion, as there is so much beauty in nature to be explored, shared, and forever captured in a photo. I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series. I love sea turtles, pineapples, antique spoons, and tropical islands. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and dogs. I also crochet in the evenings to help relax and unwind.
