Science Grading = Points system
Grades will be based on the following points:
200 = *Test/Units
100 = Labs/Projects
100 = Exploration Assessments
points = # of questions assigned Classwork/Homework
Points will be accumulated on a quarterly basis and your grade will be based on the following scale:
100-93 = A
92-85 = B
84-75 = C
74-70 = D
69- 0 = F
*A parent's signature is required on on tests with a grade of 75 or below.
1. HOMEWORK is reviewed in class, therefore, should be completed prior to the next day's class to receive full credit for the assignment Students should copy their homework assignment from the whiteboard in class into their agenda books. Student may also access homework assignments using REMIND via cell phone text messaging. (Stuidents will be bringing home the instruction sheet to signup for the cell phone service REMIND to receive homework notices via text message).
2. A TEST is given at the end of each unit. A Test will be announced at least three days in advance.
3. Quizzes are announced or unannounced. Review nightly so you are prepared at all times. Exploration Assessments are usually given at the end of each lesson/section.
