                                                            Reading Recovery

Daily Homework Expectations

1. Have your child read the books to you that come home in their bag. This should be an enjoyable experience with plenty of opportunity for positive praise. The books will be well within your child's control, so parental help should be limited. If for some reason your child is experiencing frustration while reading, please let me know right away.

2. Put the story puzzle sentence together. Read the sentence on the envelope aloud. Take the word cards out and reassemble into the sentence. Please leave spaces between the words as you would if you were writing.

3. Return the books inside the colored bag each day. If the bag is forgotten, please reread the ones in the bag again and return the next day.

4. Do not return the envelope with the sentence in it.
