Weeks 1 and 2 in Review
It has been an exciting first two weeks in Language and Literature! We have finished our first story and are off and running in our first collection Bold Actions!
Policies and Procedures 10pts. - Students understand the procedures for the class and have taken the time to review these procedures with parents at home.
Speaking and Listening 1 10pts - Students completed bell work and took part in class discussion of the text "Flight of Icarus"
IB Profile Activity 10 pts - Students created a class display of the IB Profiles that were made up of individual responses on how the profile characteristics applied to becoming better learners.
Icarus Language Activity 25 pts - Students accessed the textbook online and found and answered questions next to each vocabulary word in the story "Flight of Icarus"
Icarus Analyzing the Text 25 pts - Students answered questions 1-6 on page 36 of the textbook analyzing the text "Flight of Icarus"
"Flight of Icarus" Quiz 50 pts - Students completed the quiz for the story "Flight of Icarus"

I am excited for my first year at Lexington Middle School! If there is anything that you would like for me to know about your student, please feel free to email or call. I usually respond to emails during my planning period on B days 11:58-1:30. This page is where I will post homework assignments and IB projects that we will be working on at the end of each Collection Unit.
Below I have included a link to our syllabus for the 2015-2016 school year. Please take a moment to review class expectations with your child. I will be sending home a copy of the last page to be signed and returned. This will count as your child's first homework grade!
