*Most Mondays during the year I will send home our "Monday Folders."  These folders contain any graded assignments from the previous week.  Please review the assignments, sign any papers that received a D or an F, and sign the Monday Folder slip inside the folder.  Students are required to bring back their signed Monday Folder the next day.

*There will be homework assigned each night. Over weekends and holidays, homework will be minimal. Projects may be assigned over weekends or long breaks, but there will be plenty of preparation and work time beforehand so students will not need to spend their whole vacation time working on the assignment.

*Homework must be completed neatly and to the best of the student's ability.

*Students are also required to copy their homework in their assignment book every morning.  They are to bring this book to class every day and  take it home every night.  This book is a useful tool to help keep students organized.  Part of home each night includes having the student assignment/planner book signed by a parent or guardian. I check for this each morning while checking homework.

*Most weeks there is a vocabulary quiz on Thursday followed by a Spelling test and Reading test on Friday.

*I try to announce upcoming Math, Science, and Social Studies tests about a week beforehand to allow for students to prepare.

*Study guides are given for Science and Social Studies at the beginning of each chapter.  At the end of the chapter, they are reviewed in class a few days before the chapter test.  Students are required to correct their study guide in class as we review it.  This is a great study tool to help prepare for tests!

*Please encourage your child to read for at least 20 minutes each night and continue to practice their multiplication facts, too!!
