Ask Your Child About...

Discussion and communication are both a crucial part of learning. I will sometimes ask you to ask your children about important topics, so as to encourage them to share what they are learning and hear your insight.

Before the 2021-2022 school year starts, I encourage you to ask your child about their favorite book. If they don't have one yet... let's make sure we help them find one this year! I encourage anything that will help your child to become passionate about reading: manga and graphic novels are an excellent way to pull your children into worlds that may interest them. And did you know, that many video games require communication, as well as reading? I always ensure that I put on closed captioning when I am playing an RPG, so as to read along with the conversation.
