Important Information

 

 


Email -   Go to gmail.com and log in using your POHATCONG EMAIL.  The email is your first name and last name, followed by pohatcong.org.  For example, if your name is John Smith, your email would be [email protected].  You will use your same password as last year.


Google Classroom - Once you are in your email, you will be able to access your Google Classrooms. You will see three rows of three little dots that will bring up your Google Apps. Find the icon for Google Classroom and click it.  That will bring you to Google Classroom. Use the plus sign in the upper right corner to add BOTH Mrs. Cypher’s and Mrs. Ocetnik’s Google Classrooms.

Student responsibilities

  • Homework folders go home every day! The student’s mail will be in there as well.  Each student needs to write down their homework EVERY day, even if they completed it. Please review it each night with your child.  A signature is not required.

  • Organization, Responsibility and Accountability will be expected by 4th graders!

  • Materials - Students need to bring their homework folder, a charged chromebook, a chapter book to read, and pencil case to school every day.

  • Attendance - If absent, students are responsible to complete missed assignments.

 

Grades and Homework

Grades  - Posted on OnCourse - Please check grades to see how your child is doing. There should be no “surprises” when report cards come home.

Homework

  •  Always written on homework board and school website.  

  • Please let us know if something comes up or your child is struggling with the assignment.

 

Birthdays - You may send in a small birthday treat in celebration of your child’s birthday. Please keep in mind that it cannot be a food item. The children love getting pencils or stickers in lieu of a snack. We ask that you do not distribute birthday invitations to school unless the entire class is invited, as this may cause hurt feelings. Thank you for your cooperation with this sensitive matter.
