Russom Elementary Vision:
Russom Elementary School is a safe, inviting learning environment where staff, students and parents demonstrate mutual respect. The learning process is enhanced by a multitude of instructional resources, technology, and parental and community involvement. Our classrooms encourage cooperative learning, producing quality work, and self assessment. Through collaborative planning, teachers create engaging lessons and data driven assessments to monitor student progress and guide the learning of our ever changing diverse population.
Russom Elementary Mission:
At Russom Elementary it is our responsibility to encourage and empower all students to be dedicated, active learners while maintaining a high standard of academic excellence and mutual respect for all.
Russom Elementary Belief Statements:
Student learning is the chief priority for the school.

Students need to not only demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills, but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.

Students learn best in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.

Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.

A student’s self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students and staff.
