Wind Ensemble

Description:

Wind Ensemble is an auditioned after-school course open to all wind, brass, and percussion players in seventh and eighth grade. This group is an advanced, balanced concert band that performs a wide variety of high-level music ranging from concert overtures to marches, Broadway tunes, orchestral transcriptions, and popular music. A student must be in concert band to be eligible for Wind Ensemble and for Jazz Ensemble wind and brass sections. Performances occur at all school concerts, assemblies, and selected music festivals during the Spring.

Note that communication for this course is primarily done through our Google Classroom.

A $25 activity fee payable to the district applies. After a student has auditioned and been accepted into the ensemble, please view this letter on how to pay the district activity fee. If your child has already paid this fee for another activity, you do not need to do so again. If “wind ensemble” is not an option to choose, please choose any music activity.
