Although I am not originally from Kaplan, I have loved my time here and have fallen in love with my school and community.   I am originally from Winnfield, LA, a town very similar to Kaplan.  Better food than back home for sure, but the sense of community is what makes me feel at home.  I am very thankful for the experiences I have had at Kaplan High so far and I'm really looking forward to many more years as a Pirate.

I’m very excited for the school year to begin, as well as to have your son/daughter in my class.  I have a lot of great plans for this year and hope each of my students learns many valuable life skills.  As a young teacher I will be learning a lot from them as well.

I will be sending home a syllabus with each student which outlines all the topics we will be covering for the semester/year.  If you would like an extra copy for you to keep at home don’t hesitate to ask, there is also a digital copy on my website locate under the "Course Syllabi" tab.  I have also included my contact information on the homepage of this website.  Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns!

There may be times throughout the semester when I will be asking for parental involvement with assignments and in the classroom.  I think it is a great opportunity for you all to see what’s going on in the classroom and to take part in your child’s education.  Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated by me, as well as by your child.
