Our curriculum has 4 units and will be taught in the order bulleted below: In each unit we will read a novel, primary documents, magazine articles, poetry, essays, short stories, etc.

We will be writing essays, short stories, and poems.
Students should be going on IXL everyday for 10 minutes and working on the assignments that are assigned to them. Students can work on whatever assignment they feel like they are struggling on the most first. Assignments are assigned by units, whatever unit we are currently working on in class is what unit the students should be working on at home.

Students will read silently during the first 10 minutes of the first English Language Arts period. (Sustained Silent Reading) or SSR for short is a daily occurance. Students will then complete the Do Now, and classes will end with an Exit Ticket pertaining to the days lesson.
