Physical Education & Health Curriculum

The McKenzie School Physical Education curriculum is designed to provide each student with the opportunity to develop positive attitudes about exercise, physical fitness, self-esteem, and healthy relationships with others. Good sportsmanship and safety is emphasized throughout each class in order to create a comfortable learning environment. Students are required to participate on a daily basis in order to develop skills that encourage a life-time commitment to physical activity.

Students in grades pre-K through 4 have physical education class for approximately 46 minutes. Students are expected to dress in their appropriate physical education dress attire each day their Physical Education class is held. Appropriate attire can be read about in the "attire" tab of my web page.

All grade levels will have health education mixed in with their physical education classes throughout the year.
