The Talented Art Club will meet on Mondays from 3:00PM until 4:30PM every week. Due to the large number of students attending Henry E. Harris, the art club will only be available to 8th graders. If there is a change or cancellation it will be posted on the school calendar or a letter will be sent home with your child. If there is a last minute change then you will be called. If your child cannot attend art club, a note MUST be submitted to the art room as soon as the student returns. After 3 missed unexcused absences the student will no longer be able to attend and the parent\guardian will be notified. If there is a conflict due to another school activity or after school sport, your child will be excused provided a note is submitted. I sincerely hope this will be a rewarding experience for your child and a stepping stone into the wonderful world of ART. NOTE: Art club often runs till 5:00 p.m. Your child will phone home if he\she decides to stay late. Thank you for your continued support. Also...please be aware...any students without an art journal ,which is a district wide policy, will not be allowed in the program. This journal is for homework and a student who is not keeping up with art homework will be asked to leave the program. Students who do not submit posters for assigned contests will also be asked to leave the program. You will then be given a release form to sign for dismissal, for your child, from the art club program.
