Greek Journals (GJ) – Students receive a Greek Journal Handout on Fridays after completing their Flocabulary tests (which occur every 2 weeks). The handouts have 4-6 words that contain a Greek or Latin root to learn. Students are to find the definition of the word and write a meaningful sentence with the word in it.

Students may turn in their completed journal at any time leading up to and on the due date in the designated bin in class.  They are due no later than the next Friday (so 1 week to complete)

Time in class to work on the journal is not guaranteed, but is a possibility.

The goal of this assignment is to get students to become familiar with word roots so that when they see words with similar roots, they can try to figure out the meanings a little easier.

Worth 9 to 11 points each handout assignment.
