Mrs. Hargrove's Art Class Guidelines

Preparation

All students are expected to come to class prepared to work. Class participation is a major component of success.

Materials

Most matrials will be provided, but occasionally students will be asked to collect, or bring in items that will be used in specific assignments, or be a part of their homework.

iPads

Students will be expected to bring their iPads to class, but they are not to be opened/turned on without teacher permission .

Behavior

By middle school and high school students are expected to know how to behave in class, and unacceptable behavior, or a poor attitude, will not be tolerated. Our class environment should be a positive one, and accomplishing our learning a pleasant process.

Middle School Behavior Policy

Classwork (Studio Time)

Class time should be used effectively, and students are expected to be productive. Deadlines will be adhered to. A student who is not productive will end up with homework, in order not to fall behind.

Homework

While most work goes on in the art classroom, there may be homework (especially at the high school level). Students are expected to put in appropriate effort, and hand in homework on time. Homework is part of a student's overall grade.

Grading is based on the cummulative consideration of the student's progress, productivity and performance.
