About Me

Professional Experience:

I graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1995 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree. (I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Spanish.) Upon graduation, I accepted my first teaching position in an elementary school located in Towson, Maryland. I taught second grade for six years, while going to graduate school at night. In 2001, I graduated from Loyola University with a Masters Degree in Education. (I focused my graduate studies on Language Arts and Literacy.) Months later, I moved to New Jersey and accepted a teaching position at Harrison Township School in Mullica Hill. I taught first grade for four-and-a-half years, but left mid-year for a job opportunity at Deerfield Township School. In my years here, I have taught second and third grades, and now provide baskic skills instruction to students of various grades.

Personal Life:

Outside of school, I am known as "Jack's Mom". I am proud of this recognition, and think that my sixth-grader is a pretty cool kid! We have two dogs, who often contribute to the chaotic energy in our house. When I am not taking Jack to sporting events or after-school activities, I can often be found reading or playing on my iPad (essentially, AVOIDING house and yard work).
