Class Policies

  • Each student has a star & chart with their name on them displayed in the room.  Throughout the day, students may be required to drop their star if they break a school/class rule.

2nd offense – time out

3rd offense – note home

4th offense – lunch detention

5th offense – office visit

  • Severe Behavior problems may result in skipping steps

  • At the end of the day each fallen star moves back up and a clean slate is started for the next day

  • Each student who did not have to pull down their star will receive a star on their star chart.

  • Once they fill their chart they will receive a reward.

Such reward can be but are not limited to:  stickers, nice note home, an award, candy, no homework coupon, opportunity to be a helper, special school supplies (erasers, pencils & pens) & food treats.

Grading System

Tests, quizzes, class work, notebooks, homework, participation and special projects will be used to determine grades.  Homework is very valuable to help review the skills learned in class.  Homework will be counted if completed and points will be taken off for missed homework assignments.
