  • Students are expected to read their independent reading books for at least 20 minutes everynight and record their reading in their log.  Their Reading log will be in their assignment pad.  Students are expected to read 6 independent reading books each marking period. 
  • Students are expected to write their homework in their planner as a part of our morning routine. In addition, homework assignments are posted on the the website every night, so students can check that they have completed all of their assignments.
  • Homework should be neat and completed on time. Students are not required to have all correct answers on homework, however they are required to do their best!
  • Since the purpose of homework is to reinforce and extend our daily class work it may vary from day to day. However, students can expect to have a math study link and spelling workbook page Monday-Thursday.
  • In the event that a student does not complete homework on time, he or she will be required to complete a My Dog Ate My Homeworkslip. The student must have a parent/guardian sign the slip and return it to school the following day with the completed assignment.
  • Students may earn half credit for turning in an assignment the following day, however students will not earn credit for assignments that are not handed in.
  • It is very important that students complete their homework on time.
