Students in grade 7 are invited to discover an in-depth approach to both opera and music history. Several operas will be covered. At the end of the unit students will get to act out the last scene of the opera that their group has chosen.
Students will have an interactive experience by reading, singing, writing and performing these operatic scenes.
While studying music history, students will discover how historical events, technology, and society affected the music of the time. Students will present creative group skits on the composer of their choice.
