4th Grade Emergency Plans- complete activities as needed- learning can always continue, even if you cannot be in school.

Week One: Simple Multiplication

     

Day 1:          Multiplication Facts: Write the facts you are working on; generate and complete worksheet; play a multiplication game on line or use cards to play “Multiplication War.”  

       

Day2:          Multiply 1 digit by 2 digit: Generate and complete worksheet.

       

Day 3:          Multiply 2 digit by 1 digit: Generate and complete worksheet.

                       

Day 4:          Multiplication Practice: Do on line practice problems or complete multiplication worksheet.

                               

Week Two: Multiplication and Prime Numbers

 

Day1:          Multiplication Word Problems:  Complete multiplication word problem worksheets 1 digit by 2 digits and 2 digits by 2 digits.

                       

Day 2:          Multiply 2 digit by 2 digit: Generate and complete 2 digit by 2 digit worksheet.

                       

Day 3:        Prime Numbers: Read this lesson on Prime Numbers; complete the problems.   

 

 

 Day 4:         Numbers: Complete worksheet on Prime Numbers.

                  

Week Three: Math Detectives

Day 1:          Order of Operations:  Read student lessons on order of operation. The best ones are Melanie B., Gem B., Anna K., Dawn C., and Henry L.

                                       

                  

 Day 2:         Complete worksheet on Order of Operations ( answers will be on the reverse side, no peeking.

        Play the order of operation game.

 

Day 3:          Estimation:Read the Estimation lessons. – Skip the Lessons concerning decimals for now.

                               

Day 4:          Create and complete worksheets on rounding.

                               

Day 5:          Play place value or rounding game.

4th Grade Reading

Week One: Reading Bingo

Choose a reading level appropriate book to read.  Each day of the week choose one activity from “Book Reporting Bingo”  to complete.

Week Two: Conduct an Interview

Choose someone you admire.  Create a list of 10 questions you would like answered by that person.  Conduct the interview.  Compose a writing in paragraph format describing the interview and the person.

Week Three: Reading Book Report

Choose a reading level appropriate book to read (fiction or non-fiction)  Complete a book report about the book you have read using one of the book report forms.

 

Grade 4 Writing

Week 1 – 3:   Each week choose one of the writing prompts provided.  Use graphic organizer to organize your thoughts and then write a rough draft.  Edit and revise you writing (parents can help) and then write a final copy.
