Grading Policy: The BBOED has assigned the following category percentage weights 

 

  • Tests/Projects……....................55%
  • Labs and Quizzes...............…...20%
  • Homework ……........................10%
  • Classwork................................10%
  • District Assessments .................5% ***

 

***Each marking period, students will be given a District Assessment which will count for 5% of the marking period grade. This assessment will be a cumulative exam.

The passing grade, as noted by the BBOED, is 70; grades of 69 and below are considered failing.

 

Homework Policy:

 

Homework includes, but is not limited to, studying for tests and quizzes, completing a worksheet or workbook questions, a vocabulary assignment, as well as completing short-term and long-term projects.  Homework assignments will be checked/collected and graded as follows:

 

  • Handed in complete, correct, and on time – √† (100)
  • Handed in complete, most correct, and on time – √ (85)
  • Handed in half complete, most correct, and on time – √- (65)
  • Handed in blank or not handed in at all – Missing (MIS = 0)
  • Points will be deducted for assignments that are turned in late!

 

Classroom Expectations:

 

   You are EXPECTED to:

 

  • Come to class on time each day
  • Come to class prepared each day (Workbook, Notebook, Something to write with)
  • Be an active member of the class (Participate!)
  • Complete all homework and classwork assignments
  • Work with and respect all members of the learning community
