Our first 9-weeks of Pre-K went very well! The children learned many new things, but have a lot more to go. Please look over this progress report carefully. This report reflects the basic skills required by the Louisiana State Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum. The following items were checked for the first 9-weeks on your child s progress report:
Colors: red, yellow, blue, green, black, white, brown, orange, purple
Shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, diamond
Numerals: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Count Orally: 1-10
Letter & Sound Recognition: A, B, C, D, E
Follow Rules: Classroom & Playground
Listen to and follow simple directions.
All of these are items that you as a parent can help your child with at home. Please take time each day and go over these items with your child. You don t realize what a difference it makes for them to have help at home.
