My name is Alesia Stilley Vicari.  This year, I have reached a milestone--33 years of teaching!  I earned a BA in English Education, a MEd in Administration and a +30 in Supervision from Southeastern Louisiana University.  Over my 33 year career, I have taught a variety of courses, including 7th and 8th grade Reading and English, English I, II, III, and IV, Speech I,  World Geography, Shakespearean Studies, writing, Journeys to Careers and English 101 (Early Start SLU). 

 

I am married to Carlos Vicari.  We have two children--Shelton Dupree Vicari (30) who is a Baton Rouge firefighter and Maegan Vicari Howes (28) who teaches Family and Consumer Sciences (Home Ec.) at Albany High School.  I have a very wonderful granddaughter, Allie Vicari (6 years), another wonderful granddaughter, Piper Olivia (16 months), and a wonderful new granddaughter, Blakely Alise (8 months), and a very special tiny friend, Meiko, a miniature Pekingnese (14 years old).

 

This is my last full year of teaching!
