Welcome to the last year of your Middle School Career!  Boy how time flies when you are having fun.  Just think, before you know it we will be in June and you will be graduating.  But until then, lets look at some basics of the class.

Text Book Information:

For this year, we will be using the Envision 8th Grade mathematics workbooks.  These are usually given out at the beginning of the year.  While I will use it I will not use it religiously.  An image of the textbook is shown below.

The book's online components are what are predominantly used for the class.  Students will be able to log into their assignments through Canvas (each student should have access to their own Canvas account as well as access to my class pages for them).  All assignments can be found within the modules tab for their particular class.

 Matierals for Class

  • a pair of headphones (the new books have lots of videos that will be used during the school year)
  • a notebook or a binder (the new books we are using are consumable meaning students can write in them but a separate notebook can be helpful for taking any extra notes.)
  • pencils ( I try to have pencils but somehow they grow legs and walk out)
  • A ruler (I  try to have a set in my class but they do break)
