Classroom Grades:
In 7th and 8th grade test papers do not go home. Weekly they will get exams back (normally by Thursday). Students will record their grade on their exams. Students have a JPams username and password that can be used to check their grades. If you child receives an F on an exam, our school JCall system (linked to the teacher gradebook) will call you to inform you that your child failed an assignment. I will also send notes periodically throughout the year to inform you that your child is failing or starting out the 9 weeks with an F. This must be returned by Friday of the same week! Failure to return the Failing grade note will result in consequences for the student. If you would like to look at your child’s test papers, you may call me to make an appointment before or after school to view their papers. They cannot be sent home as they were in 5th and 6th grade.
The best way to keep track of your child’s grades is by using the parish website. You can make an account on the Parent Command Center. All you need to set up an account if your personal infomation and a PSN # for your child (Last 5 of their social security #) Log on to their page to keep up with your child’s test grades as well as averages in each subject. You can also use the parish website to check for homework.
