Homelearning Policy

Homelearning is a valuable review of the skills learned in class and encourages students to extend their learning beyond the school day.  Homelearning is important because it's one of the first ways that children develop a sense of responsibility. Homelearning also teaches students essential skills they need to succeed in school and in the future . Although it may be difficult at times, it is important to build homelearning time into your child’s busy schedule by making sure that it's not left until the remaining minutes before bedtime. It's a good idea to set rules for when homelearing and studying need to be done. Making homelearning a priority will help your child recognize the importance of learning, reading, and studying.
Homelearning will almost always be assigned Monday through Thursday. Homelearning is occasionally given on Friday. An exception might be a long-term project or make-up work that is incomplete.
