Teachers are always reminding students of the importance of knowing the basic math facts. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts are VITAL to success in many other math skills such as working with fractions, long division, word problems, etc. Therefore, I highly encourage students to practice at home on a nightly basis, even if it is only for 10 minutes. I will also have them practice in school at every available moment that I can find.
Xtra Math is another computer based program that students will use to practice and master the basic facts. It it can be accessed in school, at home, or wherever an internet connection is found. It's simple, fast, and effective if used on a regular basis.
