What is Remind!?

Remind! is a service that provides a safe way for teachers to text message students and parents about upcoming assignments, tests, and projects. Using Remind!, teachers can engage their students and parents more effectively without needing to know their phone number and without having to give their phone number out.

First, a teacher adds his/her class, which generates a unique code. The teacher then shares that code with students or parents. At that point, any student or parent who sends a text message with the code will be "subscribed" to the teacher's class. Any time a teacher sends a message from Remind!, all the students or parents subscribed will receive it.

The medium you sign up with determines how you will receive notifications. So, if a student signs up from her phone, he will receive text messages. Likewise, a parent who emails in will receive messages via email.

Remind! is a free service for teachers, parents and students, but standard messaging rates apply.

My Remind! phone number is:   (225)  81010

My class codes are:

English I - @dray 1

English II - @dray2

English III - @dray 3

English I(E) - @dray 4

English II(E) - @dray 6

English I (7th hour) - @dray 1

How to sign up:

As a student or parent, you never need to come to the Remind! website, or create an account.

To sign up for the teacher's messages, you need to ask for my Remind! class code and class phone number.

You then have the option to receive my messages via text, email or both.

To receive text messages:

Text @the_class_code to the class phone number. For example, if the class code is "math" and the phone number is 81010, you would send the text message:

@math to 81010

To receive messages via email:

Send a blank email to, [email protected]. For example: if the class code is "math", you would send a blank email to:

[email protected]
