Hello and welcome to my school homepage! I have been a music teacher in Bayonne since 1992. I went to school at Mason Gross School of the Arts which is a part of Rutgers University where I received my Bachelor of Music degree, and I also have a Master of Music degree from New Jersey City University in music composition. Here's what I believe about music education!
- I love teaching music and believe that every child should have a chance to MAKE MUSIC.
- I do not believe in talent. Instead, I believe that every student has the talent to perform a musical instrument IF they decide to dedicate themselves to the hard work and practice required to master an instrument.
- I believe that music is important for us to study - it is a reflection of our society, cultures, and histories.
- I believe that playing an instrument and performing is especially important for all students as it requires practice and discipline. Two skills that are not taught in other classes but can be used in all. Learn how to practice and play an instrument and you will be a better student!
