RENTING AN INSTRUMENT

Renting an instrument is the best way to get the instrument you really want! Other benefits of renting include free repairs, you can switch instruments, and you can rent-to-buy your instrument! Our instrument rental company is Elefante Music. Elefante has representatives that visits all of our schools on a weekly basis for repairs and deliveries.

At MCS we teach beginning flute, clarinet, trumpet,  trombone, percussion (drums), and mallets (bell kit). Students that wish to play alto saxophone should START by playing clarinet FIRST - then move to the alto sax. We do not allow beginners (especially 4th/5th graders) to start on alto sax due to the size and weight of the instrument. We do not teach any beginning violin at this time as there is no string program at the high school for students to continue their studies after leaving MCS.

Also - students that wish to play DRUMS must either rent or puchase drum sticks (size 5A) and a practice pad (10" in diameter) OR rent/purchase a percussion kit.
