6th Grade Supply List

A large backpack/bookbag to fit everything including your binder, or a bag to fit everything except your binder. Don't forget a lunch box!

  • Large Binder ~ Open or zipper type. 3 inch, 3 ring binder. Please note, these tend to not last the entire year. If you see them on sale, get two or three. You will always use them in 7th grade, anyway.
  • 6 Pocket Folders with holes on the left, or dividers with pockets.
  • Loose Leaf ~ Lots of it! You will need some for each section of your binder, and more will be needed as the year goes on. (A package of 150 sheets is usually around $1.25. This item can be found even cheaper when school supplies go on sale or clearance.)
  • Pens and (Sharpened) Pencils ~ This is so important. Please be prepared everyday with a few pencils and at least 2 pens. Pencil cases are made to fit inside binders. We need pencils all year long. Parents, please ask your child every few weeks if they have pens and pencils for class!
  • A pack of sheet protectors (at least 10.) The dollar store by Shop-Rite had them, and so does Staples.
  • Dry Erase Marker (s)
  • Glue Stick (s)
  • Journal.  This can be a marble or spiral notebook.  This will be used as a writing journal for daily prompts and written responses to literature.
  • High-lighter(s)
  • Scissors
  • We are always willing to graciously accept tissues, paper towels, and wipes! :)
  •  A willingness to learn, motivation to try your best, a smile on your face, and a great attitude. :)
  • *******All personal belongings including cell phones will be kept off in your homeroom. You will only move from class to class with your binder.
